In the final quarter of 2024, the top consumer finance apps on the iOS platform in the UK showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at the trends for each app based on data from Sensor Tower.

Monzo - Mobile Banking experienced a fluctuating download trend, starting with 61K downloads in early October, slightly declining to around 33K in December, before a notable increase to 45K in the last week of the year. Active users saw a dip from 5.1M at the start to 4.6M mid-quarter, with a recovery to 5.1M by the end of December.

Revolut: Send, spend and save maintained a relatively stable download rate with minor fluctuations, peaking at 44K in the final week of December. The app's active users started at 2.9M, showing a slight decline to 2.8M in mid-December, then rising back to 3M at year-end.

Lloyds Mobile Banking saw a steady decrease in downloads, from 30K in early October to 18K by late December, with a slight uptick to 23K in the last week. Active users fluctuated, reaching a high of 4.3M in late November, ending the year at 4.2M.

NatWest Mobile Banking also showed a downward trend in downloads from 23K to 15K through the quarter, with a slight rebound to 18K by the end of December. Active users increased from 3.2M in early October to 3.6M by late November, closing the quarter at 3.5M.

Barclays UK experienced a gradual decline in downloads from 20K to 15K over the quarter, with a slight increase to 17K in the last week. Active users started at 4.5M, dipped to 4.2M, and ended the quarter at 4.4M.
